This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and related storage mechanisms Navigate Croatia uses, why they are used, and what choices are available for managing them.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by the browser so that a website can remember certain information between requests or visits. In the case of Navigate Croatia, some session-related information is stored through a signed session cookie that is necessary for platform security and operation.
2. Cookies and related storage we currently use
In the current public version of the application, we use an essential session cookie and a local record for the analytics choice:

3. Do we use marketing or analytics cookies
Analytics and marketing tools, together with limited first-party funnel telemetry, are enabled only when consent is provided. Until consent is given, internal public-funnel telemetry, Google Analytics 4, Cloudflare Web Analytics, and Meta Pixel remain disabled. After acceptance, they may be used to measure public page usage, performance, basic aggregated statistics, and Meta advertising effectiveness. Rejecting consent does not affect essential platform functionality.

4. Why essential cookies matter
Essential cookies and session mechanisms help us maintain sign-in state, protect forms against abuse, limit excessive requests, preserve language selection, and keep the contact-reveal flow consistent. Without these mechanisms, parts of the platform may not function correctly or securely.
5. How cookies can be managed
Most cookies can be controlled through browser settings. If essential cookies are blocked or removed, sign-in, the owner dashboard, and certain security-related flows may not work as intended. If the analytics choice needs to be changed later, the “Cookie settings” link in the site footer can be used to reopen the consent banner.
